Moulton.<\/em>\n \n\n All the treetoads are a yellin\u2019\n     And the bees are buzzin\u2019 round.\n The grasshoppers are hoppin\u2019\n     Here and there upon the ground.\n All the birds are sweetly singin\u2019\n     And all nature seems in tune.\n Makes a feller feel like workin\u2019\n     Workin\u2019 morning, night, and noon.\n And a sweet and wholesome odor\n     Is a-risin\u2019 from the earth.\n And the old sun is a-shinin\u2019,\n     Shinin\u2019 down for all it\u2019s worth.\n All the country folks are hustlin\u2019\n     Startin\u2019 at the break of day.\n Mother, she is busy cannin\u2019,\n     Me and dad are makin\u2019 hay.\n \n Tell you what, we got to go some\n     For there ain\u2019t no time to lose,\n Four o\u2019clock most every mornin\u2019\n     Finds a feller in his shoes.\n Then he\u2019s got to feed the horses\n     And the pigs and mind the sheep\n \u2019Til he gets \u2018em to the pasture\n     While you folks in town all sleep.\n When it comes along to breakfast,\n     Feller\u2019s got an appetite\n And the salt pork and the taters\n     And the beans taste out of sight,\n Then we hustle for the meadow\n     And we hit her up \u2019til noon.\n When the dinner bell starts ringin\u2019\n     And she never rings too soon.\n \n Half an hour and then we\u2019re at it\n     Pitching hay our very best\n And we never stop for nothin\u2019\n     Till the sun sinks in the west.\n Then we\u2019ve got to feed the horses\n     Milk the cows and get the sheep\n And about the hour of nine we\u2019re\n     All in bed and fast asleep.\n Then we all get up at daylight\n     And we start right in once more,\n Tell you what, a city feller\n     Never\u2019d think of gettin\u2019 sore\n On his job, if he\u2019d just travel\n     Out here on some hot day\n And just stand around and look at\n     Me and dad a-makin\u2019 hay.<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
