Bill\u2019s gone to college and I\u2019m glad that he\u2019s beginning it;
    He\u2019s wanted to be going for a long, long spell
For life\u2019s a lively struggle and in order to be winning it
    A fellow\u2019s education must be learned right well;
Bill\u2019s gone to college and I\u2019m tickled he is going there.
    I didn\u2019t have the chances which have come to him,
And Bill is smart as blazes and he\u2019ll surely make a showing there;
    He\u2019s full of big ambitions to the very brim!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bill\u2019s gone to college\u2014but not a swell and fancy one
    With Greek and Latin classics and a lot like that,
Bill\u2019s gone to college, but not a nice Miss Nancy one
    Where they\u2019d feed him up on \u201cculchah\u201d in a real swell frat;
Bill\u2019s college courses are not favored in society,
    They won\u2019t turn him weary of the good brown loam,
They\u2019ll mold of him a farmer of the up-to-date variety,
    Who\u2019ll make the farm a hummer when he gets back home!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bill\u2019s gone to college, a college educational,
    To learn the farming business as a man should do,
To get a sort of culture that is sensible and rational
    And not a classic \u201cpolish\u201d and a swelled head, too;
Bill\u2019s gone to college\u2014but the country isn\u2019t losing him
    He isn\u2019t going to listen to the city\u2019s charm,
The glamor of the city streets would scarcely be a song to him;
    Bill\u2019s gone to college\u2014where he\u2019ll learn to farm!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
