Ain\u2019t it splendid to be livin\u2019, \u2018long \u2018bout this time o\u2019 year,
With the green things peepin\u2019 upward and the mornings crisp and clear;
With the children\u2019s cheeks a-glowin\u2019 and the future lookin\u2019 bright,
And the gladdened roosters crowin\u2019 just for fun with all their might?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ain\u2019t it cheerful, ain\u2019t it splendid to get out and whiff the air
When the winter time is ended and there\u2019s beauty everywhere,
When the buds are busy swellin\u2019 and the colts kick up their heels
And the lambs quit friskin\u2019 hardly long enough to get their meals?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ain\u2019t it fine to hear the cackle of the hen whose heart is light
And to have the will to tackle any job there is in sight?
Ain\u2019t it fine to see things growin\u2019 just the way they used to grow,
And to feel the warm wind blowin\u2019 just the way it used to blow?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ain\u2019t it good to start the furrow and to smell the new-plowed earth,
And to hear the blackbirds chatter, huntin\u2019 worms for all they\u2019re worth?
Ain\u2019t it good to hear the ringin\u2019 of the distant dinner bell,
And to hear the robin singin\u2019 just to show that all is well?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ain\u2019t it lucky to be livin\u2019 when the blossoms brighten things,
And you\u2019re waitin\u2019 for the summer with the gladness that it brings?
Ain\u2019t it good to see the gleamin\u2019 dandelions in the lane;
