How I joy<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Here, safe, protected, dull to stay!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe plenteous fields are stretching wide,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The quiet village lies below,<br\/>No rumor comes of pillage, want,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;There\u2019s no alarm of threatening foe!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGay hollyhocks nod by the wall,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The boughs with ripening fruit hang low,<br\/>From yonder oat field sounds the voice<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Of one whose fealty well I know!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>God pity women overseas,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Whose husbands, sons, must give to die.<br\/>God make me thankful!
