Moulton.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>(A poem for every father.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve heard a lot of babies squall,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I\u2019ve heard \u2018em east and west,<br\/>But after hearin\u2019 of \u2018em all,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I like my kid\u2019s yell best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn\u2019t worry me a bit,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;For every time I hear<br\/>Him tune up to his heart\u2019s content,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It\u2019s music to my ear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>Your own kid\u2019s voice is always sweet,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;No matter what the key;<br\/>In all the world no one can sing<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;So charmingly as he.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>You think it\u2019s cute when your own child<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Cuts loose with might and main;<br\/>It always is the neighbor\u2019s kid<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;That drives you half insane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From The Topeka State Journal, August 28, 1914.
