If he worried he hid it.<br\/>He started to sing as he tackled the thing<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;That couldn\u2019t be done, and he did it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>Somebody scoffed, \u201cOh, you\u2019ll never do that,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;At least no one ever has done it,\u201d<br\/>But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And the first thing he knew he\u2019d begun it.<br\/>With the lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;If any doubt rose he forbid it;<br\/>He started to sing as he tackled the thing<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;That couldn\u2019t be done, and he did it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done;<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;There are thousands who prophesy failure;<br\/>There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The dangers that wait to assail you.<br\/>But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Then take off your coat and go to it.<br\/>Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;That \u201ccannot be done,\u201d and you\u2019ll do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Newark Evening Star, September 19, 1914.
