By Bessie Morgan.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>I was mighty good lookin\u2019 when I wus young,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Peert an\u2019 black-eyed an\u2019 slim.<br\/>With fellers a-courtin\u2019 me Sunday nights<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2018Spacially Jim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>The likeliest one of \u2018em all wus he,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Chipper an\u2019 han\u2019som an\u2019 trim,<br\/>But I tossed up my head an\u2019 made fun o\u2019 the crowd,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2018Spacially Jim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>I said I hadn\u2019t no \u2018pinion o\u2019 men,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;An\u2019 I wouldn\u2019t take stock in him,<br\/>But they kep on a-comin\u2019 in spite o\u2019 my talk,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2018Spacially Jim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>I got so tired o\u2019 havin\u2019 \u2018em round,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2018Spacially Jim!<br\/>I made up my mind I\u2019d settle down<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;An\u2019 take up with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>So we wus married on Sunday in church,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2019Twus crowded full to the brim.<br\/>\u2018Twus the only way to get rid of \u2018em all\u2014<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2018Spacially Jim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From The Bridgeport Evening Farmer, April 12, 1915.
