By Robert Loveman.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>It isn\u2019t raining rain to me,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It\u2019s raining daffodils.<br\/>In every dimpled drop I see<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Wild flowers on the hills.<br\/>The clouds of gray engulf the day<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And overwhelm the town\u2014<br\/>It isn\u2019t raining rain for me<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It\u2019s raining roses down.<br\/>It isn\u2019t raining rain to me,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;But fields of clover bloom<br\/>Where any buccaneering bee<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;May find a bed and room.<br\/>A health unto the happy<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A fig for him who frets\u2014<br\/>It isn\u2019t raining rain to me<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It\u2019s raining violets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Grand Forks Daily Herald, May 13, 1915.
