By Philander Johnson.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWait a little,\u201d said the robin,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u201cFor the song I have to sing.\u201d<br\/>\u201cWait a little,\u201d said the rosebud,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u201cFor a bit of blossoming.\u201d<br\/>I know the world is busy,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;But the sunshine and the smile<br\/>Shouldn\u2019t wholly be forgotten.<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Let us wait a little while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>Wait a little on the beauty.<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Wait a little on the song.<br\/>They will leave you better fitted<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;For the tasks that need the strong.<br\/>Life holds nothing for the laggard,<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;But the road is many a mile,<br\/>And there\u2019s hope and strength in halting<br\/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Only just a little while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Evening Star, June 11, 1915.
